Satyendranath Bose Paragraph for class 10,9....... Highlight ,Madhyamik Examination

Mother India has given birth to a galaxy of great men and women and Satyendra Nath Bose is one of them. He was a brilliant  physicist and mathematician. He was born on January 1,1894,Kolkata .His parents were Surendranath Bose and Amodini Debi.His father was a qualified accountant for the East Indian Railway. His schooling began at the age of five. He attended an elementary school in Calcutta. Later he stood 5th in the Entrance Exam in 1990 from Hindu School and first in the F.A. Examination two years later from Calcutta University.He took (B.Sc Hons.in Mathematics) degree from the same university securing the first position in 1913.Two years later, He again stood first in his M.Sc. (Mixed Maths.) Exam.The very next year he joined the Science College as  lecturer in Physics. Between 1919 and 1920,he translated papers on Theory of Relativity.In 1921,he was appointed Reader of Physics in the Dacca University. He published Planck’s Law and Light Quantum Hypothesis in 1924.The very next year he met the great scientist,Einstein in Berlin.In 1929 Satyendranath was elected President of  the Indian Science in Physics Section. The he founded the Bangiya Bijnan Parisad in 1948.He was awarded D.Sc by the Calcutta University and Desikottam by the Visva Bharati University.Prof.Bose was honoured with ‘Padmabihusan’ by the Government  of India in 1954.He was appointed National Professor in 1959.He breadthed his last on February 4,1974.His death was a great loss to the nation.
