Paragraph on Child Labour,A problem of society,
CHLID
LABOUR
Child labour is
generated in our country as an offshoot to the vicious cycle of poverty. In
recent times many campaigns have been organized against employing children in
mines ,factories , motor garages ,shops , hotels , restaurants , tea-stalls ,
etc. The per capita income in a developing country like India is low. But
somehow lots of poor children working as household servants in middle class and
upper class families have been overlooked. These children have to work like
slaves round the clock. There are few households that allow their child-servant
adequate food and clothing. They do not get any free time. They are deprived of
even primary education .Their wages are paid to their parents and the money is
rarely spent on them . No doubt, it is the extreme poverty of the parents that
leads the children to adopt such humiliating means of wage-earning at minor
age. For the solution of this problem we need not only strict laws, but also a
through economic reform to reduce the poverty line. At the same time the spread
of literacy is essential to wipe out this shameful practice still prevalent in
our country.
